Las Vegas Jobs of the day! (2/3/10)

Hoping everyone is doing well today and staying strong and positive.  I must admit that I was feeling a bit down yesterday, defeated even, perhaps.  I was expecting a call back from a prospective employer after what I thought was a good interview, and.....nothing  :(  I'm sure some of you have experienced the same and it helps knowing that I am not alone.

But back on track for today with some of the job listings that I have found in the Las Vegas area that may be of interest to you, my fellow job seekers.

• Maintenance Engineer at the Orleans (Boyd Gaming Group)
• Sales Associate at BCBGMAXAZRIA at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood
• Casino Call Center Agent at the M Resort
• Lead Custodian at Opportunity Village

Luck to all!

Jobs in Orlando

Alright, so here we are expanding the existing list to Orlando. On the page labelled "South" you will now find the links to the "Careers" pages of some local employers in the Orlando and surrounding areas (don't forget to check out the "National Opportunities" page for open jobs in your local area, as well) The goal of my blog is to make it easier for job seekers, like myself to find legitimate jobs, without having to wonder, "Is this real?" and to eliminate some of the worries associated with responding to anonymous job postings and hoping we're not getting scammed.

Some jobs I found today in the Orlando area include:

• HR Program Coordinator at Darden Restaurants Support Center
• Massage Therapist at the Marriott Grande Lakes
• Unit Secretary at the Osceola Regional Medical Center
• Collector/Reimbursement Specialist at Florida Hospital

This is a work in progress and I will continue to expand the list and highlight some postings that I come across to give you an idea of what kinds of jobs are available. If you know of companies that post their open jobs on their website, please share the company name and I will post a link.

Happy job hunting!

More Employers added in Las Vegas and Nationwide Categories

Today, my goal was to find some more companies in the Las Vegas Area that have career pages on their sites that I could share with everyone - the more choices we have the better! The good news is that I was able to find some with vacancies posted. While I was at it I also gathered some more companies who operate Nationwide and included their job pages as well.

Some finds of the day:

• Security Officer at Bigelow Aerospace
• Lead Cashier at Goodwill of Southern Nevada
• Assistant Teacher at Easter Seals
• Director of Sales, Retail at Cox Communications

I'll have more updates regularly and appreciate the positive feedback I have received so far!

Las Vegas

Okay, so today I worked on adding content for my fellow job seekers in the Las Vegas area.  In the page labelled "West" on the top of this page you will find a good sized list of employers who have job vacancies listed on the "Careers" page of thier websites.  You'll find a variety of types of employers from the Hotels/Casinos to Hospitals and local government.  I just hope that you will find having the links gathered in one location as helpful as I have.

Examples of some of the jobs that were posted on the pages as of today include:

• Electrician at UNLV  (Classified Positions)
• IT Systems Administrator at Zappos
• Painter at Caesars Palace  (Find it from the Harrah's webpage)
• Dishwasher/Dish Machine Operator at Valley Hospital Medical Center

Most of the sites will allow you to submit your applications directly or at minimum will give you instructions on how to apply with them.  Also don't forget to check out the page named "National Companies" for local opportunities.

Visit  daily to check for new listings and best of luck to you in your search!
